Public Support
Every year, an independent public opinion survey is conducted by Fast Consulting. The purpose of the survey is to better understand public support for the uranium and nuclear industries in Saskatchewan.
Public Survey Results (June 2009)
- 74% of Saskatchewan residents continue to show support for the uranium mining industry.
- 63% of Saskatchewan residents think that Saskatchewan should consider building a nuclear reactor in the province to generate electricity.
With a proportionately distributed province-wide sample of 800 people, we can say with a 95% level of certainty that the overall results of the 2009 survey are within plus or minus 3.5% of what they would be if the entire adult population were polled.
